Privacy Policy
At Brief, meeting privacy is a core product requirement. When you choose to use our AI-powered features, we process your recordings and transcripts carefully so we can provide transcription, summaries, action items, and meeting Q&A. 1. Information We Collect Account Information When you create a Brief account, we collect information such as your email address and account identifiers so we can create and secure your account, sync your data across devices, and send important service updates. Audio & Meeting Data Audio recordings you capture or upload, transcripts generated from those recordings, meeting summaries, action items, speaker labels, and related metadata may be stored so they remain available inside your workspace. Subscription & Purchase Data Subscription purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive subscription status and transaction metadata needed to manage entitlements, but we do not store full payment card details. Usage & Diagnostics Data We collect product analytics, crash logs, and operational diagnostics needed to maintain reliability, prevent abuse, and improve the service. 2. How We Use Your Data We use your data to operate the service, authenticate you, sync meetings across devices, generate transcripts and AI outputs, support meeting chat, manage subscriptions, secure the platform, and improve product performance. 3. AI Processing & Service Providers When you explicitly opt in to AI-powered meeting features inside the app, Brief may send relevant meeting content to trusted subprocessors that help us deliver the service. These processors currently include: Supabase for authentication, database, and application data storage. AssemblyAI for speech-to-text transcription of meeting audio. OpenAI for meeting summaries, action items, and meeting chat responses. RevenueCat for subscription management. PostHog for product analytics. OneSignal for notifications. Sentry for crash and error monitoring. We share only the data reasonably necessary for each processing purpose. 4. Data Sharing We do not sell your personal data. We share meeting content only with the service providers needed to operate Brief and only for service delivery, security, compliance, or legal obligations. 5. Retention & Deletion Meeting content is retained until you delete it or your account is deleted, unless we need to retain limited records for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute resolution. Some processors may retain logs for a limited operational period under their own retention policies. 6. Your Choices You can choose whether to enable AI-powered meeting processing in the app. Without that consent, AI transcription, summaries, and meeting chat are not available. You may also request account or data deletion by contacting us. 7. International Transfers Some of our subprocessors may process data in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on contractual and organizational safeguards for these transfers. 8. Security We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal data in transit and at rest. No security measure is perfect, but we work to reduce risk and limit access. 9. Children's Privacy Brief is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. 10. Policy Updates We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the app or on this site with an updated effective date. 11. Contact For privacy-related questions or requests, contact brief@kozmonos.com.
